Newsletters from THE FORT
In the past we sent printed newsletters to our patrons all over the USA twice a year by postal service. In 2019 we at last changed to a digital format for all our patrons who were able to access email and this saved us on paper, printing and postage – not to mention the hours of getting the letters ready to mail. At that time we still had to mail about 45 letters.
In 2020 more patrons had moved to computer access and we were mailing about 25 issues each time. In June of 2020, during the height of the COVID 19 shutdown, we decided to send a shortened version of the email newsletter once a month to touch base with our patrons more often. It helps us keep up to date on email changes and reminds our members that we are still here to help if they need our assistance with genealogical research.
